American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Patient Safety

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has formed the first-ever Orthopaedic Patient Safety Coalition consisting of more than 70 organizations involved in orthopaedic or allied health care. Together, they are diligently working to reduce and eliminate medical errors through patient safety education, research, best practice initiatives and community awareness.

 Whether you're a healthcare professional, a patient or a member of the media - the information collected on this Web site shows how you can prevent medical errors. Some people might say this is overly cautious, we say in surgery, there's no such thing.
